February 2011

A Good Start

“Never forget for a moment,
you didn’t grow under my
heart, but in it.”

Farewell
Henry joined his forever family in Nov. 2010. And in 2011 we are already off to a good start. So far this year we have had six children adopted. Owen and Judson, who is a walking miracle, were adopted in Jan. 2011. Anabelle, Coralie, Ethan, Samuel were adopted in Feb 2011. Every adoption is a time to celebrate a family expansion and a chance to give another child hope.

Welcome
We would like to introduce our New Arrivals Landon, Samantha, Elliot, Joy, Molly, and Annie . We are blessed that we have this opportunity to bring them hope of a future.

Jace's Joy
An exciting step between arrival and adoption is when a child is matched with a family. Jace’s greatest desire was for his very own family. As he saw his friends being matched and adopted his heart longed for the time he too would get pictures of his family. With joy we were able to celebrate that day with him and also with sixteen more of our children who have been matched.

Surgery begins the children on a path of hope. The following children have started this journey. Nicole had two surgeries (Hydrocephalus in 11-2010 & Chiari ll in 12-2010), Jadeyn (heart), Kenneth (cleft lip & palate), Evie (heart).

On January 31, 2011 we celebrated Claire’s return to the foster home following a second miraculous recovery.

Love’s unlimited potential is seen in our Foster Families.

Foster Families
The USA has been hit with a lot of snow this winter. Here in Beijing we were missing out on all the fun until finally…… we got 2 inches. I know, I know it isn’t much but for the children it was a winter wonderland. See the fun they had playing in the snow, for Chinese New Year, making kites, Valentine’s Day and the Lantern Festival.
