CONNIE

'NO HOPE'...This is what Connie's doctor said, in English, to Karen. The tumor that was growing in Connie's kidney had become so large that it was pressing on her other organs causing internal bleeding. The hospital had hoped to be able to do chemotherapy to try to shrink the tumor first before operating, but it was too late for that. Connie needed a miracle, and soon. Read her amazing story.

MAGGIE

Maggie was the first child that came into the care of New Day Foster Home and had a liver transplant in her first 24 hours with us! On the morning of Monday the 11th of May, we got the call that a liver had become available for Maggie. Maggie spent the day being rushed all around the hospital for tests and scans to see if the transplant was going to be possible. At 5 PM we signed the surgery papers, and handed Maggie into the arms of the surgeon, having been warned that the surgery was quite risky and could take over 12 hours. The waiting began..... Read her amazing story!

STAYING BUSY

The children stay busy with everything from dental checks, celebrating mothers, meeting kittens and other animals to picking strawberries. There is never a dull moment in their lives.

MEDICAL HELP NEEDED

We are in the process of writing protocol for many of the medical issues we deal with. Medical care is often not up to western standards and many tests and care that should be given are not. We need medical personnel that would be able to help us write these protocols that can be given to orphanages so they can be sure to get all the care their children need. If you can help contact Karen@newdaycreations.com

There is a poem that is our theme for this year.

If you want to touch the past
TOUCH A ROCK

If you want to touch the present
TOUCH A FLOWER

If you want to touch the future
TOUCH A LIFE

We thank each of you for helping us
TOUCH THE FUTURE!
