Newsletter - Bejing | ND North

January 2010

We had a very busy and fruitful year in 2009.

In 2009 we set a new record for completed surgeries in one year- 34 life changing surgeries.
Since our last newsletter Eliana (heart surgery), Lindsey (heart surgery), David (hydrocephalus surgery), Julian (cleft lip surgery), Catherine (heart surgery) and Cora (heart surgery) had surgery.

Her surgery is a gamble!
Doctors told us Cora’s surgery was a gamble but without surgery she would not survive. They wanted to make sure we knew that it was an extremely risky operation. We were told if they thought her condition would improve they would have advised waiting. But over the last 7 months there was no improvement, and the operation was a last-ditch effort to save her life. To read her story click here.

It is wonderful to see how our children grow and blossom when they join their adoptive families. Some new blossoms this time around are Jordon, Maria, Grace and Shanna Elise.

Catherine is another one of our special blossoms. It is a time of celebration when a child is loved by a family who wants to make them their very own and it is even more special when the family is a local family.
Read more about Catherine’s exciting story.

With children being adopted this means we can bring new children in for surgery. We are happy to have Vincent, Henry, Sean, Julian and Zachary join our New Day family.

New Day South is off to a good start. Check out the commissioning service we had for Doug and Janice Bush.

The holidays are always fun and in China we get to have double the fun.We get to celebrate Christmas

And Chinese New Year.

In China Chinese New Year is a special time for families. We are honored to count each one of you as part of our New Day family and pray you will have a blessed year in 2010.

And of course the holidays are more fun when there is snow and more snow.

Last Ditch Effort
