Newsletter - Bejing | ND North

April 23 , 2008

We've been really enjoying the opportunity to care for kids and share the ups and downs of their young lives. What a thrill we experienced when we received word that Jeff was adopted. We were beginning to think that it would never happen. He was the focus of many prayers. Jeff (Holland) and six other children have been united with their permanent families all around the world. Joining Jeff in this most momentous moment of their lives was Zoe (Sweden), Luke (USA), Lily (Spain), Hudson (USA), Lucas (UK) and Natalie (USA).

We're pleased to introduce the new children who have arrived. Forest, Faith (her heart was healed but she still needs cleft lip and palate surgery), Evan, Madeline and Nathan (very serious heart condition).

Christopher, Evan, Annie, Lizhong and William have all had successful surgery.

Spring is in the air.
Check out the kids flying kites, picking strawberries, playing T-ball and enjoying the visit of Abby (adopted some time ago, coming back for a visit).

We're opening a home conveniently situated right in the heart of Beijing's Central Business District. This new project which will allow us to greatly increase the number of kids we can bring to Beijing for surgeries. We're calling this New Day Healing Home and once fully operational we should be able to facilitate an additional 50+ surgeries per year.
