Year-End Update and Appeal ..

Dear Friends,
Greetings and our best Christmas blessings from all of us here at New Day South!
Adoption Time!
After 8-9 long months with no adoptions, we have been so happy lately to see our children leaving with new families! Laura (now Alice) first left us to join her new family in October. Then only a couple of weeks ago, Cooper left with his new forever family. This month, both Asa and Marshall will be leaving to join their new families just in time for Christmas. This is what we are all about - "bringing the fatherless home" - and we couldn't be happier for each one of these special children.
We Need Your Help
Not only have the adoptions seemed to happen all at once - in 2013, we have provided 20 surgeries and hospitalizations here at New Day South - quite a lot considering that we were only caring for a total of 17 children during this time.
By God's grace shown through the generosity of our friends and supporters, we were able to meet the challenge of giving every child the best quality medical care possible - when needed and without compromise. Indeed, this has long been one of our core values here at New Day. However, the increased medical expense this year has significantly depleted our General Fund which enables the daily operation of the foster home (caregiver salaries, facility costs, food and supplies for the children).
Please consider making a year-end gift to help us through this challenging time, or consider introducing our foster home to others who might be able to help by forwarding this email. We have established a special Christmas PayPal link for your year-end donation, or, as always, you can mail a check to the address shown below.
Gratefully,
Doug Bush and the New Day South Team |
Welcome, Noelle!
Noelle, our newest little one, was born with a serious heart defect. She is in the hospital now recovering from her first surgery.
Zai Jian, Alice!
Only with us for 6 months, Laura certainly blossomed in her time at the foster home. She is now with her new family in Europe.
Bon voyage, Cooper!
This sweet little fellow's wait is finally over! Cooper will be arriving at his new home in the States about the same time this newsletter hits your inbox.
Home for Christmas!
How exciting! In just a few days, we will have the privilege of taking Asa to meet his new family. |
