New Day South: Year-End Update

Merry Christmas!

Two years ago when we first moved to Guangdong province, New Day South was little more than a dream. One year ago, we had a single child living with us in our apartment. Now, thanks to your support and prayers, New Day South Foster Home is a small, but growing reality.

Recently little Marshall, our 8th child, came to live with us. (You can read about Marshall's amazing story on our website.) Our first child, Kenneth, left us earlier in the year with his adoptive family. On the medical front, we have now provided 5 surgeries for our children, 2 of which were life-saving.

Our vision going into 2012 remains the same - to take what has worked so well for us in New Day Beijing and replicate the same model of care here in south China. The need is indeed great - over 60% of China's orphanages are concentrated in the populous southern provinces.

We are excited about the possibilities before us in 2012, but we know we can't do this by ourselves. With your continuing support, we can together 'bring a new day to a new place.'
