2014 Year-End Update

Dear Friends,

Greetings and Christmas blessings from the children and staff of New Day South foster home!

During the year 2014, we were privileged to care for 20 children in our young but growing foster home. Almost half of these were new children who came to us this year from our partner orphanages:

Welcome Anna, Naomi, Grady, Chloe, Thad, Polly, BingBing, Lulu and Evelyn!

Our work continues to be very medically intensive. During 2014 we've had numerous hospitalizations including thirteen surgeries, three of which were quite critical and kept us all on our knees. Indeed, several of these children would not be alive today without the medical intervention you enabled us to provide. And while rejoicing over every child restored to health, our hearts still ache over little Matthew, our first loss here at New Day South.

Always the highlight of our year, we were blessed to introduce six of our children to their new forever families during the past 12 months:

Zai jian Kate, Ada, Fisher, Charlie, Sally and Sadie!

None of this would have been possible without you, our friends and supporters. While finances have been challenging at times, our testimony continues to be that we have never had to defer a surgery or compromise medical care in any way due to funding.

Thank you so much for being such a part of the blessings of 2014! We invite you to continue with us as we begin a new year of "bringing hope to the hopeless and the fatherless home."
