Holidays in China seem to center around food. Chinese New Year has it's famous Jiao Zi (dumplings), we eat sticky rice balls for Lantern Festival, mooncakes for the Moon Festival and Zong Zi for Dragon Boat Festival. Sticky rice, stuffed with dates, and meticulously wrapped with bamboo leaves, these yummy steamed treats are even shaped a bit like boats! Some of the older children tried their hands at making them and all of the children tried their mouths at eating them.
