Samantha came from America to volunteer at New Day for almost a year. She has helped out in the preschool and played with the kids. Also, she has been a special friend and helper to two children who need one-on-one support – Rosie and Austyn. She will be sorely missed, not just by Rosie and Austyn but by all of us here at New Day. We held a special goodbye ceremony in the preschool and the kids were happy to help out with eating the cake. We even let them sing 'Happy Birthday' to Samantha, because that's what you do when there's a cake! A big 'Thank You' and 'see you again soon we hope' to Samantha.
