Opening Ceremony
On Saturday, October 14th the long awaited day finally arrived. It was a cold, rainy day but this did not deter the excitement of everyone invited to the "Opening Ceremony" of the new orphanage in Tacheng. In fact, the officials said this showed that the blessing of God was on the dedication. We are happy to announce that finally, Tacheng has a facility where children without parents will be able be able to be cared for. The main goal is for foster families, but a center was needed to care for the children till they are placed in a family.
We were very privileged to be able to attend the ceremony as honored guests and to meet many government officials. We have an open door in this area and are excited about the potential to make a difference. Stay tuned as this project continues to develop.
