We have now leased a second apartment in the same building as our existing foster home. This will allow us to increase our care to 20 or more children. We have a limited number of room sponsorships open for those who want to be a part of this new phase of our growth.

We are thrilled to welcome our 2nd child to New Day South. Annie was born with spina bifida and will be having corrective surgery soon.

New Day South completed its first surgery! Kenneth had a 2-3 hour cleft lip and palate surgery and it went very smoothly. We're looking forward to seeing his new smile!

We are pleased to announce that Katrina Ouyang has joined New Day South as our Foster Home Manager. Katrina brings over 4 years experience in managing foster home operations for special needs orphans at a sister organization. We are so happy to have someone with Katrina's background and experience on our team! We know that she will play a vital part in bringing hope and healing to our children.

Our first nanny caregiver started work today, and our second will start next week. We are actively interviewing others now and hope to have everyone in place and trained during the coming month. We've also secured a Guest Apartment very near to the foster home for visiting staff, guests and interns. Y'all come!

We're getting closer... A good team is forming here in Zhongshan, and we hope to have our first children in the not-too-distant future. What a blessing a few days ago when a local baby furniture manufacturer helped us fill our bedrooms with very nice quality baby beds!

We have now started outfitting and equipping the new foster home. We are so ready to see this room filled with children!

After several weeks of intense searching, we have found and leased a large apartment (over 1800 sq ft) to start the new foster home in. This facility will enable us to house up to 12 or more children with office space for medical / management staff. The apartment is in a new, secure development with a playground close by and ample 'green space' to take the children on walks.

We are excited to announce that we will be locating our new foster home in Zhongshan City, a little over an hour south of Guangzhou. Zhongshan is a smaller city that will afford a better quality of life for our children and position us in proximity to both Guangzhou and Hong Kong hospitals. We are also very glad to stay located near our parent organization, New Day Creations, which recently opened a branch in Zhongshan.

"We moved our family to Guangzhou today! We will be celebrating Thanksgiving with friends and settling into our new home over the next week. After the Christmas and New Year holidays, we will be launching New Day South."
