Born August 2002 he was abandoned by his parents when he was eight months old. Soon after arrival at the local orphanage he was placed with a foster family where he did very well. Jared is a shy, quiet child with big, beautiful eyes that draws you to him. He came to Beijing February 17, 2004 to receive surgery for his serious heart defect (Tetrology of Fallot). February 26, 2004 he received this life saving surgery and is now learning to walk and smile again.
