Name: Thomas Christopher
Birthdate: October 12, 2002

Thomas Christopher was born October 12, 2002 in Fuzhou. He was found abandoned August 12, 2004 and taken to the orphanage after an unsuccessful search for his parents. It is hard to imagine what this little child must be feeling. In addition to dealing with abandonment Thomas has also been diagnosed with hypospadia and an intersex condition. DNA tests have done and it was determined he should be a boy. This playful little boy who arrived at New Day January 18, 2005 will have surgery in the near future to correct his medical problems.

On April 26, 2005 Thomas had the first of two surgeries to correct his hypospadia.
The three hour surgery was very successful and was performed by the top surgeon in this field in China. We would like to specially thank Dr. Li Shan Kai and his assistant Li Qiang for donating their services.
In six to eight months Thomas will need to have a second surgery.
