Luke was born on May 1, 2005. In January 2007 when he was almost two years old, he was left at the gate of the local orphanage. When we first saw Luke, his sad little face tugged at our hearts; it is hard to imagine what he must have been feeling at the time. He came to our foster home on April 11, 2007. He had a very serious heart condition (tetrology of fallot and a deformed pulmonary artery), and he had his first surgery on June 5, 2007. He needs an additional surgery once he is strong enough for it, but he's already doing much better! We've seen his sad face turn into a joyful one, and he is a source of a lot of laughter and love in our home.
