Name: Daniel
Birthday: August 10, 2003

Daniel is from a small town in northwest China. He was found abandoned when he was twelve days old at 5:00 PM on August 22, 2003 by a pediatrician who diagnosed him with Spina bifida. He was found with a blanket, a sheet, a bottle of milk and a bracelet on his right wrist. Soon after he has legally declared an orphan he went to live with a foster family who cared for him till he went to Shanghai for surgery. On March 24, 2004 a very successful seven hour surgery for spina bifida and hydrocephalus was performed. This sweet little boy, who is now living with us at NDFH will need special attention as he strives to overcome his medical problem.
