　Mia has a heart condition (ventricular septal defect), which she had surgery for on July the eighth. Mia is a very smart and alert child. She was very weak when she came to us on June 9, 2003 and was not able to sit up by herself. However, she is becoming stronger and is progressing very quickly. Mia has a ready smile and easily steals people's hearts because she is so cute. Mia is a pleasure to care for.
