Julia was abandoned at the gate of the local orphanage on January 19, 2005 when she was almost a year old. The orphanage took Julia for a checkup at the local hospital, where they determined that she had dwarfism and hydrocephalus. In need of treatment for hydrocephalus, she came to our foster home on May 12, 2007. She had surgery on July 6, 2007 for her hydrocephalus. When she first arrived, she was described as a "shy and timid" girl who "doesn't smile much." That couldn't be further from the truth now. Julia is our little firecracker who is always cracking jokes and making crowds laugh. Her joy is contagious, and we are blessed to be the recipients of it.
