Name: Jeff
Birthdate: February 28, 2003

Jeff is an outgoing little boy. Within hours after he was born, he was found abandoned at the gate of a local orphanage. Soon after he arrived at the orphanage, he was diagnosed with hypospadia which he will need two surgeries to correct. On December 16th, Jeff was given the privilege of joining the New Day Foster Home family. During the short time that he has been with us, he has needed to make many adjustments. However, he is a fast learner and is adjusting well. Jeff is a wonderful little boy.

On February 7th, Jeff entered the hospital for his first corrective surgery for hypospadia. Before the surgery the hospital called us in for a consultation. They informed us they did not know if Jeff was a boy or a girl and wanted permission to do DNA tests. DNA tests were done and it was determined he was a boy. However, they still werenĄ¯t able to do the surgery. Jeff will need to have a couple of hormone shots to prepare him for surgery. If the hormones donĄ¯t work, other measures will need to be sought.

Going to His New Foster Family
We decided that Jeff might benefit from a family environment, so one of his favorite nannies decided that she would like to foster him. Jeff was so excited to be going home with her that first day!
