On February 7th, Jeff entered the hospital for his first corrective surgery for hypospadia. Before the surgery the hospital called us in for a consultation. They informed us they did not know if Jeff was a boy or a girl and wanted permission to do DNA tests. DNA tests were done and it was determined he was a boy. However, they still werenĄ¯t able to do the surgery. Jeff will need to have a couple of hormone shots to prepare him for surgery. If the hormones donĄ¯t work, other measures will need to be sought.

We decided that Jeff might benefit from a family environment, so one of his favorite nannies decided that she would like to foster him. Jeff was so excited to be going home with her that first day! |
