Zeke
Birthdate: January 6, 2014

Zeke was found by a passerby on the side of a street January 9, 2014. A note indicated that his birthday was January 6th, and some medical documents indicated that he might have a GI defect. That night, Zeke was taken to the orphanage and upon arrival the staff realized that he would need immediate surgery that they were unable to provide. They contacted New Day South and we met little Zeke at the hospital around midnight on the 10th. Zeke's emergency surgery occurred at 6:45am the next morning and took five hours. He is not out of the woods yet, but we hope that he will win this battle for his life! Read Zeke's amazing story.

We provide this information to give our sponsors and supporters a general idea of the challenges our children face. For prospective adoptive parents, this information is not intended to be a substitute for a complete and up-to-date referral packet from your adoption agency. Please keep in mind that in our communications, we always try to focus on a child's strengths, accomplishments, and positive developments, not in an attempt to gloss-over their often serious medical conditions, but in an effort to share a glimpse of their precious personalities.
