Annabel was born June 2, 2012 and abandoned at the local hospital four days later. The police were unable to locate her parents, so she was brought to the local orphanage. Annabel was born with a GI deformity. Her condition was so severe that she was immediately admitted into the hospital for treatment. Annabel remained at the hospital, receiving nutrition through IV, until she was transferred to Beijing and into our care on July 26, 2012. Annabel was admitted directly into the hospital upon her arrival. She weighed less than 6 lbs. Annabel has already been through a lot in her short life, but she survived the trip to Beijing and is still hanging on, so we know that she is a fighter. Annabel is a tiny little girl with big, beautiful eyes. Surgery is going to make a huge difference in her life and we can't wait to watch her miracle unfold. Read her amazing story.
