Grace Zhang
Vice Director
Grace is from Inner Mongolia where her parents and younger brother currently live. She attended the BaoTou Iron and Steel Technology University and majored in English. She graduated in August of 1998. Shortly after graduation she went to work for New Day Creations. In 2002, Grace began working for New Day Foster Home. She says that she has really enjoyed being a part of our staff. Her desire for the future is that she will be continue to do a good job with the work that she is assigned to do. Grace enjoys reading, listening to music, swimming, cooking, and doing group activities.

Foster Home Manager
Amy has worked at New Day Foster Home since it’s founding in 2000. She started as a nanny and is now the foster home manager. She is married with a daughter, Rachel, born in 2001. Her husband is a taxi driver. Amy studied in Beijing from 1996-1998 and majored in accounting. While she was studying, she worked as a tutor and also waited on customers in a drugstore. From 1996 to 2000 she worked as a storeroom manager and as an accountant for a car company. Amy's hobbies include reading, being in nature, listening to music, traveling, and being around children.

Sara's family
Foster Home Assistant Manager
Sara has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2001. She and her husband were married in 1988, and they have a son in Junior High School. Sara worked in a machinery factory for nine years before she came to work for New Day. Sara enjoys reading and doing housework. She is analytical and has a good sense of humor.

Grace Liu
Healing Home Assistant Manager
Grace has worked at New Day Foster Home since January 2009. She is originally from Tianjin and graduated from college with an engineering degree. She worked in the southern part of China as an engineer before coming to New Day in 2005. Before joining the Foster Home staff, Grace worked in the Volunteer Services department, managing all the staff and facilities and helping foreigners with their housing and visas. Deciding she was ready for new challenges and wanting to use her time and energy working on behalf of orphans, she began working for the Healing Home. She manages the daily operations of the Healing Home, overseeing the staff and facilities. Her parents are retired and in good health, and her older sister works in Beijing. Grace enjoys traveling, music, reading and loves visiting her parents and sister in Beijing on weekends.

Foster Family Manager
I left the state run printing factory in Beijing where I worked for 16 years and came to work for New Day Creations as a manager of the craft factory in July 2002. For many years my jobs have consumed most of my time so that I was unable to do something for orphans. I'm glad that I now have this opportunity to join New Day Foster Home, a big family, and become a part of it. I love kids very much and have always wanted to do something for them. It is love that brings everyone here to serve the orphans. I like the atmosphere here and like my new job very much. I'll try to use my gifts and skills to serve and help the orphans and at the same time I hope that through my service for the foster project, the foster families can receive more help and blessings.

Jane
Foster Family Assistant Manager
Jane has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2000. Previously she worked at a factory that made clothing, a fish factory, and also as an accountant and cashier. She is married and has two grown children, a son and a daughter. Jane enjoys singing, listening to music, watching TV, and doing housework. Jane is very thankful that her children have been able to attend higher education institutions so that they can have a more successful future.

Michael, ZhuZhu Bueckers
Luoyang Foster Family Managers
Mike came to China in September of 2002 with the goal of studying the Chinese language and has just recently finished his studies in Beijing. Mike and ZhuZhu have been happily married for nearly 2 years and are now living in LuoYang China. Mike is now heading up the New Day Creations Representative office in LuoYang. ZhuZhu has been an active athlete from a very young age, particularly in soccer and running. In 2002 ZhuZhu graduated university in KaiFeng City, Henan China with a degree in Law. After graduating ZhuZhu worked as an official athletics referee before starting with the New Day Orphanage. ZhuZhu is now operating a bookstore and working with New Day Creations Foster Care in LuoYang China. Mike and ZhuZhu really have a heart for the children of LuoYang and the rest of China. As they themselves have received an unconditional love they would like to share that love with the children of LuoYang

Elva
Public Relations
Elva grew up in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang province. She spent her first 23 years in southern China where she graduated from Ningbo University with her Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering. After graduation she had the desire to explore northern China and experience different people and cultures rather than buildings. Elva has been working at New Day Foster Home in the Public Relations Department since 2007. She is thankful that she has the opportunity to use her gifts to make a difference in the lives of these precious little ones. Elva has three younger sisters. She enjoys watching movies and reading.

John
Public Relations
John has worked at New Day Foster Home since September 2007 in the Public Relations Department. John says that he really enjoys this job and it is such a blessing to him. John grew up in city of Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province. He graduated from North Normal University in Changchun with his Bachelor's Degree in English. After graduation he worked as an English teacher for 6 years. He is an only child, and enjoys playing sports.

Ruth and her husband have a very happy family. They have one grown daughter who is in Singapore right now working as a Chinese teacher. After Ruth retired from her previous job, she felt led to work in the Finance Department at the New Day Creations Company. Her husband also came to work here in July of 2002. Both of them greatly enjoy working here and they especially like working with the other staff members. Ruth said that it brings her great joy to be able to give a part of her life to help these orphans have a better life. Her hope is that everybody in the world will have many blessings in store for them.

Ganlu
Multimedia Artist
Ganlu has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2003. Her hometown is in Sichuan Province where her parents still live. After graduating from the Textile University in Chengdu, she worked on website design and editing in Sichuan. When she joined the New Day Foster Home staff, she was put in charge of the website and photography of the children. Ganlu says she is honored to be a member of the New Day Foster Home staff. She enjoys the people and the atmosphere, and she thinks her life and work here will continue to be pleasant. She also says that she thoroughly enjoys playing with the children and taking their pictures.

I am from a small village in Sichuan Province, which is in Southwestern China. The majority of people in my hometown are Tujiazu minority. I received my degree from college in textile and technology design. After graduation I came to work at New Day Creations. I have worked with the company since 2000. In July 2007, I joined the foster home as a preschool teacher for the children. I am glad to be part of the foster home team. It has been new page in my life and I look forward to and enjoy serving these special children each day. I am married and have a son in elementary school. I have studied Early Childhood Education and also enjoy music and art.

Gloria
Teaching Assistant
Gloria has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2001. She has a husband and a teenage son, as well as a large extended family that gets together every Spring Festival. For five years before coming to work at the New Day Foster Home, she was a Math and Chinese primary school teacher. Her hope for the future is that her son will be smart and diligent and that her relationship with her husband will continue to grow stronger and stronger. During her free moments that are not filled with doing housework and cleaning, she enjoys listening to music, knitting, sports, and playing with the children.

Nancy
Doctor
Nancy, along with her husband, live in Zaolin, which is a village very close to Qingyundian. Before coming to work at the New Day Foster Home, she studied to become a doctor and then worked at a community medical service station for three and a half years. She is very excited about being able to work here. She has a strong desire to make sure that all of these children are healthy. She also looks forward to seeing all of them placed in loving, adoptive families.

Helen
Nurse
Helen came to Beijing from Jiangsu province to study nursing at Peking Union University. She worked in a Chinese hospital for 1.5 years after graduating in July of 2007. A friend told her about New Day Foster Home, saying it was a place full of love and hope for orphans. Since Helen chose to study nursing because she wanted to help others through restoring their health, she felt that New Day Foster Home would be an excellent place to work. She applied for an open nurses position, and now she says she is "very happy to have a chance to work with our children and be able to witness how their lives change and blossom. I hope every child finds her own family quickly and leads a happy and healthy life."

Zoey
Physical Therapist
Zoey is from Inner Mongolia where she lived with her family in her hometown known for the beautiful grasslands. She graduated from Changsha Social Work College where she studied physical therapy. Zoey is happy to join the New Day Foster Home staff because it gives her an opportunity to help people who are in need. She says she feels so blessed, and she wants to be an excellent therapist for our children.

Lillian has worked at New Day Foster home since 2001. She and her husband were married in 1994 and have a son. Some of her favorite activities are reading books, keeping a diary, watching TV, knitting, and doing housework. She also enjoys being around children and previously was a Math and Chinese teacher in a primary school for nine years before she came to work at New Day Foster Home. Her hope for the future is that her parents will be able to enjoy long life and that her son will be smart and continue to stay healthy. She also hopes that she and her husband can enjoy a good marriage and live in peace and happiness.

Cora
Cora has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2001. She is married and has a son and a daughter who are both busy studying away from home. Holiday times are joyful for the whole family, when their two children return to celebrate together with them. Cora is gentle and kind-hearted and enjoys singing and dancing. She says her greatest happiness comes from playing with the kids.

Diana has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2001. She is married and has a daughter. Diana enjoys listening to music and watching TV.

Annie
Annie has worked for New Day Foster Home since 2001. Her husband is a middle school teacher, and her son will soon graduate from university. Annie enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching TV. Most of all, she loves taking care of the children at New Day.

Alice
Alice has worked for New Day Foster Home since its founding in 2000. Her son is an active and clever high school student. Alice enjoys singing, dancing, playing games, traveling, and raising and playing with children.

Alina is married and with one son who is in junior high school. Her husband, a taxi cab driver, is a very hard worker. Alina says her greatest enjoyment comes from playing with the children.

Elisabeth is married and has one daughter in elementary school. Her husband is a plumber’s assistant in the local village. Elisabeth enjoys reading, cooking, listening to music, and a good conversation.

James has worked for New Day Foster Home since 2007 as a carpenter. He and his wife were married in 1979. They have a son and daughter who both graduated from university and now have families of their own. They return to their hometown to visit James and his wife during each festival. James enjoys carpentry work and inventing new things.

Adam

Adam has worked at New Day Foster Home since 2008. He has a wife and a son who is in high school. His wife is a nanny at New Day Foster Home. Driver
Mark was born on July 7, 1966. After graduating from high school, he attended the Xi’an Technological University majoring in Chemistry. Then, in 1997, he came to work for the New Day Creations magnet factory. Six years later he was asked to be the driver for the New Day Foster Home. Mark says that he really enjoys working for the New Day Foster Home and doing what he can to help care for the children.

Jerry has worked at New Day Foster Home since January 2009. He is married with one child who is in elementary school. Jerry enjoys reading, listening to the radio, and watching TV.

Hanna
Hanna (Chen Yuxiang) was born on July 20, 1970. Prior to her husband being injured in a terrible car accident, she was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother for her son. After the car accident, she had to get a job to support their family. She worked at a local hospital as a cleaner, but when she heard New Day Foster Home was hiring new nannies, she applied for a position. She likes the children very much and enjoys what she is doing for her career.

Susan
Susan was born on October 22, 1964. Her husband is a driver, and they have two children. Their daughter is 18 years old and their son is 20 years old. She used to sell fruit in the local village, and when our children would go into town, she would always give them a piece of fruit. She loves being around children, and her kind and compassionate heart shines through. When she came to interview at New Day Foster Home, the clean work environment and polite staff impressed her a lot, and she is thankful to have the opportunity to be on the foster home staff.

Leah
Leah was born on February 12, 1968. She is married with one daughter. Her husband is a taxi driver, and her daughter, who is in high school, attends a boarding school. She has wanted to work for the foster home ever since she learned about it from her sister, who has been one of our nannies for many years. Until recently, she worked for a medicine factory, but after she had an interview with the foster home and got the job, she quit her factory job to come care for the precious babies in our new Healing Home!

Esther
Esther was born on July 13, 1969. Before coming to New Day Foster Home, she worked at a shoe factory, and her husband is a driver. Their daughter is in middle school. She likes children very much, and she first heard of the work at New Day from her sister, who is also one of our nannies. She is so happy to have a chance to work for the orphans; she wants these children to have a wonderful childhood under the care of her and the other nannies.

Joy
Joy was born in 1970. After graduating from high school she worked for some factories for a couple of years. She and her husband have a 16 years old daughter who's in high school and a 10 years old son. She has a lot of interests such as reading, watching TV, housework and especially cutting hair! She loves to either watch others cut hair or do it herself. It used to be her dream to become a barber. But here she is, a nanny for New Day Foster Home, which she also loves and she is determined to work very hard to do a good job

Shena
Shena was born and raised in a farmers' family where integrity, diligence and kindness are honored. She has an older sister and brother. She finished middle school in Qingyundian in 1986 and started to work for a factory in the town. She has been married to her husband since 1993 and has a very lovely daughter who loves painting. Her husband is a driver. Shena loves her family and has been a housewife since 2004. Since her daughter is now older she decided to work and has found the job that she has been hoping for. She will really cherish this opportunity and love the children with all her heart.

Lucy
With an infectious smile and a bubbly personality, everyone who meets Lucy loves her. Before joining the Healing Home staff in April 2009, she worked at a plastic factory. As the youngest nanny in the Healing Home, Lucy brings a lot of light and laughter to our home. Lucy is blessed with a happy family and an adorable little girl. Her husband is an elementary school teacher, but he’s prepared to be both “mom” and dad when Lucy works overnight at the night shift! We are so blessed to have Lucy join our staff, and we know she’ll bring the children much joy through her tender love and cheerful care.

Sally
Born in 1972, Sally is a happy mom of two children - a boy and a girl. She is kind and considerate, taking care of her in-laws and family very well. She loves children and is concerned for orphans, so we know Sally will be a perfect nanny for our children. In her spare time, she loves to read. She joined our staff in April 2009 after working for a shoe company.

Wendy
Born in June 1964, Wendy worked at a shoe factory and then a gas station for 20 years before she joined the Healing Home staff. A cheerful mother, she applied for the position because she loves children. Her husband and daughter thought that it would be an ideal job for her, and after interviewing her, we agreed! She joined our staff in February 2009.

Peggy
Born in March of 1974, Peggy is an experienced mother of two. Before joining the Healing Home staff in early 2009, she worked at a department store. She was also a foster parent for New Day, caring for Lydia, AMia, and Kendra. Peggy loves children very much and has a special heart for orphans. Her optimistic and encouraging spirit shows in our children’s lives, and we’re thankful she is able to be a “Mom” to our children!

Jenny
Cook/Cleaner
Jenny was born on June 24, 1965. Her husband is a taxi driver. They have a 17 years old daughter who's in high school right now. She worked in a pharmacy factory before coming to New Day. As a side job she would baby sit to make some extra money. She likes watching TV, reading, doing housework and especially likes to cook.

Byron & Karen Brenneman
Director
Karen, her husband, and three daughters moved to China from New York City in 1995. She has served as part of the New Day Creations leadership team since 1996. In 2002, she became the Foster Home’s director and has worked very hard to better the lives of orphaned children across China.

Doug, Janice and Sarah Grace
Healing Home Manager
Doug and Janice first traveled to China in early 2002 to adopt a little girl from Jiangxi province. They returned home not only with a new daughter, but also with a new-found love for the people of China and a growing desire to help the orphaned and disabled children. After learning of the work at New Day, Doug first returned to China in 2003 to visit the foster home. Several years and several trips later, the Bush's made the decision to move to China and join the New Day team. The words "freely you have received, freely give" have special meaning to Doug who was himself abandoned as an infant and placed for adoption. The Bush's are grateful for this opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of the children. Jacob and Carrie McKean
Project Coordinator
Jacob and Carrie first came to China in 2005 as members of an outreach team to an orphanage in Henan province. They returned the following year to volunteer in an orphanage in Fujian province. These two experiences gave them a love for China and China’s orphans, and in October of 2007, they moved from Texas to China to serve at New Day. Carrie is the foster home’s staff writer and works closely with our PR Department. She also coordinates our formula project. Jacob works in New Day’s Volunteer Services department and manages New Day’s computer network. Ellie
Nurse
Ellie grew up in Western New York and worked to obtain her nursing degree with a desire to come to China to work with orphans. After working in the United States as a nurse for a year and a half, she moved to China in February of 2005. She enjoys working with the children and seeing all of them adopted into loving families.

Randy and Rita Rippee
Sponsorship Coordinator
After adopting two daughters from China in 1998 and 2000, Randy and Rita’s love for China and her people and culture grew. In August of 2004, their family moved from the USA to Dalian, China to work with orphans. Their oldest two children now live in the USA. While living in Dalian, Randy taught English at a university while Rita home schooled Elise and Shawna, their youngest daughters. Desiring to work more closely with orphans, the Rippees moved to work at New Day, where Randy could also continue teaching English. Rita manages the foster home’s foreign sponsorship program. Kevin and Elisha Saegert
Physical Therapist
Kevin and his wife Elisha came to New Day in July 2009 and will be here for at least a year. Kevin is a Physical Therapist Assistant from Texas and has come to volunteer to do Physical Therapy in the foster home. Kevin has always had a heart for service and feels very passionate about serving the children at the foster home. Elisha will be teaching English at New Day Learning Center during their stay in China.

Honorary Grandpa
Donnie hasn't had the opportunity to visit the foster home in person, but he dotes on our little ones like the best of grandpas! A resident of Kentucky, Donnie first became involved with New Day Foster Home as a child sponsor, but his role quickly expanded as he frequently sent special treats to his sponsored children and sent our kids on field trips. He's even donated money to adoptive families trying to raise funds for their adoption of New Day children! He's a very special grandpa, and his love for the kids is evident in their lives. Every little one needs a grandpa, and we're thankful Donnie decided to be our children's YeYe.
